I'm not able to backup my Portal with the webgisdr tool

Errormessage: The Server https://<domain>/arcgis is not started. The startup timed out.

The referenced URL works fine when calling it manually with the same portal account used in the webgisdr tool.

No special entries in the AGS Log nor in the Portal Log.

See attached webgisdr.log.

Questions:

  • How can I get more information about errors in webgisdr?
  • Any ideas how to fix the problem?

Additional Information: After removing the federation between ArcGIS Server and Portal, the backup was working. Federated again => not working anymore.

Thanks Markus!

If restore utility is failed, in my case it needs to create a new site or upgrading, is also a known bug?

Good point. Actually I didn't try a restore.... so I don't know if it would work.

This behavior was a limitation within the software that is corrected at 10.6.

Jonathan,

I'm seeing this issue even with admin console enabled. My environment uses PKI (client cert). I've tried modifying the webgisdr.bat to include a keystore containing my cert; but it still fails with the 'server timeout' issue.

Does (or will) webgisdr support PKI based auth?
