Hosted Layer view showing all edits

Hi All

I have created a view of a hosted feature layer, but it seems to show all edits to the "parent" feature as a separate/new feature.  Every time I edit a feature in the hosted feature layer a new record is created in the View. Is there something in the initial creation I missed or if there some other filter I should be applying?
