Can you change portal website without uninstalling?

Hello.

We currently have a functioning portal site that uses the webadapter etc. on a particular website on our server.  

Example:  snakes.organization.omg/webadaptername/...

BUT because of some configuration changes we want to make on snakes.organization.omg we realize we should have isolated that site for only that particular application.  SO we have a new website on the same server...

Example hamsters.organization.omg

Do I have to uninstall portal and start from scratch?  My research so far has not turned up anything like this.

Unfortunately, there's no way to change the URL for your portal.  You can set up your new portal and use a python script to move content, though.

We're looking to address this in future versions of the software, though.
