We have several hundred feature classes they our internal Pro users have access to. We understand that Portal and Services are the future but publishing everything as services is beyond our ArcGIS Server capacity yet we'd like to use Portal for data discoverability. Currently we are using a custom Pro add-in that has a search function with all of our layer files in a SQL data catalog.
Is there a way to register layer files with Portal so can use Portal as a search engine and move away for our Pro add-in? We want to continue to use the custom add-in but it doesn't work with Pro 3.1 and we don't have the still within our unit to maintain it. Thanks
