We're currently looking at upgrading to a long term support release of ArcGIS Enterprise, which is currently 11.3. However, it has come to my attention that there is a pretty significant defect in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3 that causes the ArcGIS Web Adaptor to stop responding when under heavy load. (https://support.esri.com/en-us/bug/arcgis-web-adaptor-may-stop-responding-to-requests-when-bug-00016...) This leaves us with two options: 1. Upgrade to 11.3 and potentially being forced to deal with this defect (that still hasn't been resolved after 9 months). This will result in a negative experience for our end users, and also result in a decrease in productivity. 2. Don't upgrade until the defect is resolved, but then be forced to go past Esri's support lifecycle, where we will no longer receive any security/bug patches. That brings me to this idea. All ArcGIS Enterprise support lifecycles should be postponed and extended until all known severe defects are resolved first. Little bugs are one thing, but in this case, we're talking about a significant defect that negatively impacts usability. We're being put into a situation where we either have to accept a production stopping defect, or no longer receive security/bug patches, which I do not think is acceptable.
