When running Patchnotification.bat as an automation step from a PowerShell command via an AWS-RunPowerShellScript task (run document in AWS Systems Manager) the command fails as it isn't capable of picking up the relative paths used in patchnotification.bat, as the command is remotely administered. Relative paths will only work when the PowerShell command is ran on the instance itself. Requesting a better approach to path derivation that supports remote commands.
