If a filter is applied on a Map Image Layer in a web map, and that web map is used in a Dashboard where an additional filter is applied to the Map Image Layer (for example via the actions option of a category selector), the original filter applied in the web map will be ignored. Esri support tells me this is expected behavior. My idea is to not ignore the filter applied in the web map in this situation.
