We have several Arcgis Servers that host hundreds of mapservices. Some mapservices may experience momentary peaks load. I noticed that with shared instances this could impact other mapservices in the same instance. But I can't set these mapservices in dedicated instances perpetually because it uses too many RAM (and I don't want to set the minimum instances to 0 because the service wakes up is too slow). So I change instance types as needed, as much as I can.
Couldn't we have a mechanism that could dynamically change the instance type of a service in the event of a load peak? And that restore the old configuration after a moment.
