Since February 2026, the Map Viewer includes the “Find a location´s Coordinates” tool, which allows users to generate or input coordinates based on the coordinate reference system (CRS) used by the basemap. This functionality is extremely useful for workflows involving national projected coordinate systems—for example, S‑JTSK / Krovak East North (WKID: 5514), which uses negative meter-based values.

I would like to suggest improving the "Coordinate Conversion" widget in Experience Builder with the following features:

  1. Convert a map point not only into DD, DDM, DMS, etc., but also into the projected coordinate system used by the basemap
    (e.g., –775410.780; –1154327.710 in S‑JTSK / Krovak EN).

  2. Allow users to input coordinates directly in the basemap’s projected coordinate system, generating an accurate point on the map without the need for external conversion tools.

Why this enhancement would be valuable:

  • Improved workflow efficiency: Users working with national projected systems frequently need quick coordinate conversion directly in the map.
  • Better consistency across Map Viewer tools: The capability already exists in the “Find Addresses and Location Coordinates” tool; adding it to the “Coordinate Conversion” widget would unify the user experience.
  • Increased relevance for international users: Many countries rely on their own projected CRS; this enhancement would support a broad community.
