In ArcGIS Earth 1.8, i would like to use a 3d vector line as the input for the animation of the "line of sight" analysis.

At the moment it seems that only locally digitized lines can be the input for the tool. Will this be possible in the future?

In addition, when opening a 3D KML file there are no options to define the altitude mode (absolute, relative etc.) like in google earth. can this be added in the future?

Thanks for your feedback! The capability of editing KML layers is already in the plan and will be included in the future release for sure.

As for the interactive line of sight and viewshed tools, input of the animation path currently allows drawing lines only, the use of other data types as the input is under consideration.

Thanks,

Mandy
