Editing a KML name vs a Folder name

Hello. This is not a big deal, but I'm wondering why editing a KML name doesn't work the same way as editing a folder name.

When changing a folder name, the user can select and erase (or replace) part of the name. Most text editing boxes work this way. But when changing a KML name (Point, Line, Polygon, Ground overlay, Screen overlay), the user can only select and erase the whole name.

It would be a small upgrade – but nevertheless, an upgrade! – to be able to select and erase (or replace) part of a KML name.

Thank you for the feedback.   It's a good finding.   I logged it to our backlog, and will fix it soon.

Agree,  this will be really helpful to more users although this is not a big update.

This issue was addressed in V2.2, along with overall enhancements to text boxes. Have you had a chance to try it out?
