Authorization and de-authorization

Hi guys

I just want to confirm something.  I use a Personal Use License of 10.5.1. I have to format my pc.  Is it right that I need to de-authorize before formatting and then authorize after formatting and re-installing?

And can I then install 10.6 over the 10.5.1 install, or can I just install, and authorize with the 10.5.1 authorization? (Same machine, just formatted).

You are correct.  Deauthorize the license before formatting the machine. 

If you have access to 10.6 downloads, then yes you can either install over 10.5.1 or install 10.6 fresh.  The code should be valid for both.
