Starting Indicator with no value or zero as a value

Good afternoon-

       I have an indicator in a Dashboard whose display shows with a select within a map. When I launch the dashboard the display has a value in it even though nothing within the map is selected. How do I set-up the indicator so that nothing is displayed or  text indicating that they should select a point on the map is displayed?  If they clear their selection or refresh the page I would like the indicator to default to this preset value.

Set the indicator to only render when filtered.

Then set a custom No Selection message in the Indicator > General Settings.
