Selection tool in operations dashboard is not working properly

Hi, I have configured an operational layer to flash map when a feature from hospital layer is selected.

After configuration, selection tool is displayed on map window as shown

I activated the selection tool and clicked on a hospital feature on map, but the feature is not selected. Any ideas?

Good morning @SimonJishi , I've encountered this, too. One solution that has worked is to use published/hosted feature layers out of AGOL rather than published zip file shapefiles for example. Having it hosted does enable more functionality but this may not involve that. I would defer to devs for this. What I have encountered on the dashboards I have used is the selector tool works well for polygons but not always for points or lines. My first guess would be under settings or data host status. I am not well versed enough to quote what documentation would best answer your question but I have encountered the same issue and I am eager to join in on this topic. Great question, God bless!

I'm having this issue on a dashboard too. What I found was that I have a category selector with a default selection that seems to be preventing the selection tool from working. 

If I change the category selector to 'None' then refresh the map, the selection tool on the map works. 

Alternatively, if I keep the category selector set to a value other than 'None', when I load the dashboard I have to select 'None' on the category selector and make a selection with the selection tool. After that the selection tool works even if I have the category selector set to a value other than 'None'. 

I'm guessing this is a bug but if anyone knows a setting change that will resolve this I'd be happy to hear it.

Apparently, the bug appears when you have a filter on a web map layer set, and then apply a filter from a selector on the web map's associated Dashboard. Both filters applied causes the feature selection tool to be unable to select features.

To work around this issue, you can remove the filter for that layer in the web map. Or if you want to keep the filter, you can create a layer view for the hosted feature layer and use this layer view instead in the Web map.

I am also having this issue currently with my Dashboard. Is there any way to contact Devs about this? My dashboard displays conservation sites available to the public and the sites are supposed to be filtered by land-use activities permitted (hunting, fishing, etc.) using selectors. With filtered sites, users would then select a site or sites with the selection tool for more details in the popup. This bug completely breaks that function and I need it fixed as I plan to publish this spring. I had somehow worked around it previously but now I can't seem to get it working again.
