Multiple selectors targeting same layers

I've created a dashboard that has 3 selectors. I'd like each selector to filter two layers, showing these only when filtered. However, I am finding that if I check 'Render only when filtered' on any one of my three selectors then the layers won't actually render when any of the other selectors are used. Has anyone else run into this and found a solution? Is there an arcade approach to this problem?
