A previously accessed and functional dashboard has stopped working. The error suggests a permissions or data issue, however the dashboard/associated layers have not been touched or changed in months. Both the dashboard and the map are shared as public.
Although I can view the map in webmap viewer, it will not load when added as a new instance to this dashboard. I've tested other apps as well as maps and found that everything else is operational, but the map will not load when added to any app.
Are any of the layers or basemap layers marked as deprecated? This information is available from the map's item details page. If so, update the deprecated basemap layers with the vector basemap equivalents and see if that allows the map to be viewed in the dashboard.
I'm having this same issue with a recently (Sept 2022) created web map and dashboard. Other dashboards with similar set ups seem to be functioning fine. The web map that is connected to the non functioning dashboard works fine on its own in the web map viewer. I would be curious to know any solution that doesn't require rebuilding the entire dashboard again.
We are experiencing this same issue. An existing dashboard, created August 2022, just stopped working, but the web map works fine on its own.
UPDATE: We were able to solve this issue. It was a data source error. I had to point the widgets to the new data source in the web map but it started to work after that.
Ours shows a data source error as well but all of our widgets are connected to layers within the web map. The web map widget says it cannot open the webmap. I tried pulling the same map in again, and it still had trouble loading.
I was having the same message and it appeared like everything was working but the data in the web map was tied to map services that had been disabled. I'm not sure why it didn't provide more info but I would say try create a new identical layer from a data source you know works and see if you can get it to function again.
