Hi,

I am currently creating a user interface for volunteers to a water quality monitoring programme. I would like to have the option to turn on a walk through for users when they first come to the website. Similar to the Shepherd tool Shepherd — Guide your users through a tour of your app. (shepherdpro.com) does something already exist within the ESRI ecosystem? I want more than 'just' the splash screen which can be set to pop up.

I've read the instructions on how to deploy the Shepherd tools but though I can download my web map application to edit the files i can't see where to upload the changes. Wondering if I should get started with the JavaScript SDK?

Hi @SarahTaigelNRT ,

You can easily accomplish this using experience builder and design it so that it mimics the site you are looking to have the users use. Then you can add buttons that, when clicked on, will either show a text box that is hidden or a view with text, that will navigate like a step by step instruction.

Experience Builder

Hope this helps.
