Embedding SharePoint content into Dashboard

We have several .pdf and .mp4 files on a SharePoint site. When trying to get them to display in an embed widget this is the result:

ourorg.sharepoint.com refused to connect.

Everything I have been reading talks about doing the reverse, embedding Esri content, specifically, dashboards into a SharePoint site. I've found very little on successfully embedding content from SharePoint into Dashboard.

Are there other recommended web services for embedding .pdf and .mp4 files?

Is it a public sharepoint? I know if you check the file in OneDrive you must make sure the file is available and shared publicly (not only at the org level but public level).

Try writing a basic HTML file and adding the embedding code there to see if it displays outside your network?
