Dynamic Serial Chart Legend Based on Selected Feature and Non-Zero Values

Is it possible to have a dynamic serial chart legend that changes to reflect what is present on the chart?

It would be much more user-friendly for the legend to  display only those series that apply to the selected feature. See example below. 

Any ideas or workarounds? Thanks!
