Yes, this has broken the way our dashboards work now. The combination picker was great, why would you change that? We have a dashboard setup for our fire calls. When the user opens the dashboard, it defaults to "This Year." I had a few predefined options setup, but then users could also select whatever date range they wanted. It worked perfectly.
Now, to achieve the same result, I would need to add two separate date pickers. But the real catch is if the user has set the predefined date selector to "This Year" and then goes to the calendar to pick dates outside of this year, no data will show up. They would first have to clear the predefined date selector. This is very convoluted and is going to confuse our users, especially when they were used to this working just fine.
On top of this, another one of our filters is not working and I can't figure out a workaround. We have a field in our call data for "non-emergent" calls. If it is non-emergent, it's marked "Yes" otherwise its left blank. Before, by default when the dashboard opened, it excluded all calls marked yes in that field. This no longer works because if i keep the filter on "Single" you cant un-check the option. And if I put the filter on "Multiple" i can uncheck it, but then it doesn't default to having it checked when the dashboard is opened.
I don't understand changing the fundamental way some of the filters and selectors work is an update. You shouldn't be introducing an update that breaks a live dashboard without there being another way to achieve the goal, and without letting users know about these changes.
