Dashboard examples using data with relationships/related tables?

I'm curious of if anyone has examples of dashboards they've built or come across that use relationships/related tables. I have one or two of my own, but I have found that related tables come with limitations for filters, map interactivity, etc. and I want to better understand use cases and examples of deliverables using data with relationships to make decisions on data management for our projects.

Other apps like Experience Builder work too!

Thanks for sharing!

You can always use Arcade to join the related table to the actual feature layer and expose whatever attributes you want to use at that point.

Thanks @RyanKelley_NA, if I'm understanding correctly this would be using advanced formatting/Arcade expressions to manipulate the related data to then have a common attribute used to configure elements such as filters, indicators, etc.? Are there any limitations that you know of?

Yes that is correct...you can either do it through the advanced formatting in some cases but normally I set the whole dashboard to use a datasource that is built with arcade.  I think there can be limitations with interacting with the map widget if you don't also pull the geometry into the arcade expression.  There are normally creative ways to handle most issues though, at least from what I have done...and I am no arcade expert!

Thank you! Do you have any resources or documentation that you reference? I'm definitely not an arcade whiz either. I've done data source arcade formatting for a dashboard I have but with lots of trial and error!
