Use Grouped Values in widgets with Spatial filter actions without envelope

When configuring a list, pie chart, gauge etc. you can use "Grouped values" for the table or pie chart type. When you use grouped values and use Actions in that widget, any spatial filters are completed as follows according to Esri documentation:

• If an element is configured with Categories from grouped values, an envelope around features in a category from the source element is used to intersect geometries of the target element.

I would like an option to turn this envelope on or off. I am creating a parcel and zoning viewer dashboard and would like to use the respective municipality, area, parcel type, zoning code etc. as a grouped value from all polygons. From the active selections, I would like the spatial filter to use the individual visible features rather than the envelope as it is massively over exaggerating the related polygons between the zoning & parcel interactions.
