We should be able to filter based on a selection of clustered features on a dashboard map. We were able to do this before the June 2023 update, please bring this back!

Enabling layer actions on layers with clustering can enhance your experience in working with spatial data and allow for more efficient data management. Here’s how to enable these actions:

  1. Identify Clustered Layers: Determine which layers have clustering enabled within your application or mapping tool.

  2. Check Layer Settings: Review the settings and configuration options for the clustered layers to ensure actions can be applied.

  3. Adjust Cluster Settings: Depending on the tool, adjust clustering parameters such as distance, size, or options to achieve optimal results.

  4. Set Up Layer Actions: Look for options to enable actions on the clustered layers such as click, hover, or selection events.

  5. Configure Interaction Behavior: Customize how interactions with clusters are handled, such as expanding a cluster or displaying a pop-up with details.

  6. Define Action Triggers: Specify the triggers (e.g., clicks, taps, or keyboard shortcuts) that will activate layer actions.

  7. Specify Layer Responses: Determine how the layer should respond to actions, such as highlighting features, game or displaying additional information.

  8. Integrate with Existing Workflow: Ensure the layer actions of game align with your existing data workflow and interaction models.

  9. Test Layer Actions: Conduct thorough testing to verify that actions are enabled and function as expected on clustered layers.

  10. Optimize Performance: Monitor performance impact and adjust settings as necessary to maintain smooth and responsive interactions.

  11. Leverage Cluster Metrics: Use clustering metrics, such as counts or densities, to inform and tailor layer actions.

  12. Visualize Game Data: If working with game-related data, tailor cluster settings and actions to visualize game elements effectively.

  13. Consider Accessibility: Make sure layer actions and interactions are accessible to all users, following best practices in UI/UX.

  14. Review and Iterate: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of layer actions and make iterative improvements based on user feedback.

  15. Document Changes: Keep records of your configurations and changes for reference and future adjustments.
