I have a serial chart that displays river flows for each day of the year during a 10-year period. I need to configure my date/category axis to show only the Day and Month so that each year can be "stacked" on top of the others. This allows users to quickly compare current year daily flows to historical flows that have occurred on the same day of any given year (river flows varying by time of year).
Prior to the "big change" that came to dashboards a few weeks ago, I was able to use a string/text field with a format of "1/1" for January 1st, "3/6" for March 6th, etc. and each column in my table represented the flows for that given day, for years 2009 through current. After the change, my category axis will not display all the values in that string/text column - the category axis is shortened from January to May, sometimes January to November, all over the place really. I have multiple serial charts for different river monitoring locations and each chart will reduce or expand the category axis differently, although each table contains the same values in that string/text field.
