Currently in dashboards, if you want to apply a filter to data in an indicator or other widget, you need to click through all of the options (field, condition, and value). While this is a good no-code option for many users, if creating a complex or repetitive filter in a dashboard, it's a super time-consuming process.
There should be an option that allows users to write a SQL query for a filter, much like the option in ArcGIS Pro now for definition queries so it can be more reproducible and less of a headache when creating longer, complex filters based on many fields.
Yes, PLEASE. I have a couple dashboards with bonkers filters, and adjusting them is awful.
@CameronLacelleyou could edit the dashboard JSON directly to write the SQL yourself, but that approach always makes me nervous that I'm going to break something! 😅
@jcarlson I already break things way too often and have to be a repair man for our apps, I'll just deal with the pains of also creating bonkers filters lol
