Hello everyone,

I'm new to Power Automate but frequently create AGOL (ArcGIS Online) maps as I'm the admin for my company's AGOL account. I also create dashboards for Power BI. Despite watching several YouTube tutorials, I'm still struggling with a few basic concepts. I'd greatly appreciate your help.

Here's my scenario:

  1. AGOL Feature Layers:

    • I have a feature layer of endangered bird nests in a city, with each nest having a unique ID.
    • Another feature layer divides the city into inspection territories (a polygon layer), with each territory having its own unique identifier.
  2. SharePoint/OneDrive Excel Files:

    • One Excel file contains data about the nests, correlating to the nest's unique ID.
    • Another Excel file contains information about the territories, correlating to the territory's unique ID.

My questions are:

  1. Using Power Automate:

    • Can I set up connectors so that if I update either Excel file, my online AGOL map will update with the new information?
  2. Power BI Integration:

    • If I select an item in a Power BI visual (e.g., a table), can it filter and highlight the corresponding item in my AGOL map within Power BI, enabling cross-filtering between visuals?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Just wanted to give an update in case anyone else has the same question. Based on a response in this thread, I found that the answer to my second question, "Can selecting an item in a Power BI visual filter and highlight the corresponding item in my AGOL map within Power BI?" is YES.

However, I'm still looking for insights on my first question: Will updating the Excel file automatically update the attributes of data in my AGOL map? Any thoughts?
