We work in an offline environment due to lack of WiFi coverage because of this we can not use the location services in Collector.

Most of the time this fine as we are collecting points or update features and it is easy to see them or navigate to them.

However on one up coming project we have more features, a lot more, and each feature has asset ID tag on.

So is there a way to set up collector so that i can search for features by id?

I know you can look up places but that does me no good.

Thanks

Hey Randall,

Configure the feature search option to find locations by layer in your web map and use the ID field from your layer.  This will be honored in Collector and will allow you search by ID.

I have one of mine set up to search by account number...

I am using Portal and Collector

In Portal, go to the item details for the web map (the map not the app)

Click to edit the details

Scroll down to Properties and select the checkbox under Application Settings for 'Find Locations'

Select 'By Layer'

Specify the Layer, field and the condition

Save

You should then be able to search by file ID in Collector.
