Currently there is no way to have the sign in account used to access the Collector be used against an On-Prem Server. If you are using Portal for ArcGIS you can federated your server with the Portal and that can leverage a single sign on. Another thing you could do is create a Feature Service item for the secured AGS service and embed credentials with that but that will only be able to leverage one account at a time.

Cheers - at least I haven't missed something - realistically , at the moment, we are only having one editor out in the field.
So, what do I do now to your post - in the old form I'd mark it helpful - do I have to "like" it now !
How do you check if ArcGIS Server service token security is enabled? How do you enable it? Russell Roberts
In the server manager site you can enable security on your service by clicking on the lock symbol. The lock symbol will update from an unlock position to a locked position.

Thanks for your reply, I have the service secured. But now my users have to log in a second time with an ArcGIS Server username. Editor tracking works but the ArcGIS Server username is logged. How can I get it to work with my users AGOL usernames? Do I have to setup a role for each user? How will this work in Collector? Will they need to log in twice?
Right now you will need to login twice. We do not share the AGOL credentials with the server because the server is not federated with AGOL. If you were using Portal for ArcGIS you can federate your server and that will bring a single sign on experience.
What would happen inside collector? Is their a prompt to login with their arcgis server username?
