My team is using Collector (online on iPad), to populate some 35 attributes of existing stream features. Don??t ask why so many:)
They have to populate 5-7 fields at a time and submit repeatedly.
Populating all fields and submitting them at once doesn??t seem to work resulting in the loss of values.
I wonder if this is known issue with app or just poor network connection?
Regards
Felix
Apart from that, many thanks for Collector!

Hi my team is also experiencing this.  We fill out the necessary fields attributes and hit submit and all data is lost/disappears.  Anyone know a fix?  Thanks.

I have not seen this issue before. Just a few questions:
Are you using iOS or Android?
How many fields?
Are you collecting this data in a connected mode?
Are you using hosted services or ArcGIS Server services and are they secured?

Thanks!

Hi Russ

- it is iOS
- 35 fields
- connected to 3G network, test with WI-FI does not eliminate the issue
- hosted service, unsecured

Thanks!

I will look into this. Have you tried taking the map offline and syncing back your edits and see if you are seeing this same issue?

Thanks

No, iPod is in use now, I'll do it as soon as I can and let you know the outcome.
Thanks

I have been experiencing a similar issue.

Fill out all my necessary fields while collecting data, take attachment photos, hit submit. i then check the data and find that none of the field edits have taken, but the photos have uploaded no problem.

submitting edits with every few fields is quite the annoyance.

Can you share your service or a copy of your data model and I will try to reproduce this.

Thanks

Due to the nature of the data we are working with, i cannot share.

Is this a know issue?

We are running Collector on iOS with a constant 4G signal.

The last thing i do in the data collection process is to take photos as attachments and then update with my edits. The photos have had no problem posting and updating. i find this interesting that collector is simply removing my edits are they are being updated.

This isn't a known issue and I cannot reproduce this issue with a polygon feature with 35+ text fields filled with max characters being sent over edge. Are you changing a subtype field which impacts your data model and could wipe out field values?
