I would really like to see ESRI support reading and writing data to SQLite.  There is an Open Source project called SpatialLite which extends SQLite to support spatial data support.  The SQLite database format is a common format used on mobile devices and may allow for a way to handle disconnected editing on the iPhone platform.  I would assume this would also apply for the upcoming ArcGIS Mobile for the Android OS.

I would like to see Spatial Lite on ALL platforms for ArcGIS.  If possible I would even like to see it as a potential option for ArcSDE Workgroup, as MS SQL is slow.

I definitely agree with this but not just for iOS but all of the mobile API's (Android, Windows Phone, etc)

Any commitment from ESRI?

Extending database support to cover Spatial Lite would be great as it provides an excellent way to share data with other software packages aiding interoperability
