Many date fields (inspection date, action date, installation date, etc.) should be populated with the current time/date. Some date field configurations seem to allow the date to default to the current date and time which is (I think) the ideal behavior. However, I have a date field that does not allow nulls and has no default value which Collector automatically sets to December 30th, 1899. Having a button to press that would set the date and time to the current date and time would be a big time saver, but it does not seem to exist for Android as of Collector ver 20.2.0.
A "Use Current" button existed in Collector Classic, and I believe it also exists in the form of a "Today" button in the new iOS Collector. I'm surprised that this functionality does not exist in the current Android version, or that an idea hasn't already been made for it, so please let me know if I'm missing something!
Attached is a screenshot of my date picker on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. Perhaps the availability of this functionality is tied to device, OS-version, or some configuration settings? If it just doesn't exist though, it would be great if it could be added!
