Hi,

I'm trying to create a map package and save my map to a thumb drive.  However, I get this error message "The name of the field is invalid: valid names may contain letters, numbers or underscores. [field_name]".  I'm not sure what to do, can anyone help?  Thanks so much.

Hi,

I'm not sure if you posted this in the right place. Does this have anything to do with CityEngine?

Thanks!

Hello El,

Do you still have a problem? Was the error message helpful?

Thanks

Hi James,

I still haven't been able to figure out a solution.  A google search shows that it's something wrong with a text file?  Still unsure what if anything I need to change or tweek.  Do you have any ideas?

You may have characters in your text file or attribute table that aren't accepted. You aren't allowed to have dashes-. They should be underscore:  YR_2014. In my map, I always have to change one of the field labels from YEAR to YR because YEAR is not accepted in the label. I hope this helps.
