Hi,

I have installed and authorized City Engine on my machine, when attempting to launch, I get the following error:

Invalid Configuration Location:

The configuration area at 'C:\Users\COL User\.CityEngine\2011.2R.win32.win32.x86_64' could not be created. Please choose a writable location using the '-.configuration' command line option.

I cannot find any documentation or support on this issue, and I am not sure what my next step is. The install seems to work fine, no issue, authorized successfully. I understand the the location in the error that it is trying to write to is wrong, however I am not sure how to change this as there were no option for me in the install process.

Any suggestions? Has anyone seen a similar issue to this?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi,

Writing permissions is independent of the CityEngine installation. If you don't have the 'write permissions' set to this folder, CE cannot be installed. Thus, check r/w.

Let me know if this helps.
