Hi, I am using city engine 2022.1

and I am unable to import osm data into my map. I upgraded from 2022.0, and I could do it fine there using a generic coordinate system. It was US feet.  If I Create a new map, I can import data. I also cannot import this scene into a new location. I have set the coordinates to use EPSG:32015 since most of the data I am using is in the new york area. And tried to reimport a small section of Manhattan, and it always fails

Also, I think I screwed up my world transforms. the scene I am editing is a mix of several different cities. I am cutting and pasting features from places that are very far apart. Is there a correct way to set my scene up to support this without running into these issues?

Hi @Hutch_N_Such,

I just tried osm import of a of Manhattan with a fresh scene set to EPSG:32015 in 2022.1 and everything works as expected.

  • Do you get any error message when it fails?
  • Can you import the osm data in 2022.0 to your existing scene?

Regarding your second question: There is a limit extent you can work with it in CityEngine, so at some point your cities might be too far away from each other.

Best,
Jonas
