Why do we have to uninstall previous app install before installing new?

When installing a built Windows application from AppStudio, the windows installer seems to refuse to install if there is already an installation in the target folder.

Is there any way to get it to 'upgrade' the current installation rather than having to uninstall and reinstall the application?

Hi Paul,

Currently, upgrading the current installation is not available. But you can have multiple versions installed on your end. You just need to choose a different folder to complete installation.

Thanks Nakul.

If it were ever possible to make it 'upgrade' then it would be great. Doesn't make much difference for me, but would make it much easier for clients if we could just give them a new install file, tell them to run it and away they go...
