I am using a mac, but can't seem to download the excel plug-in. Is there a different one for mac users?

Tina,

I purchased paid access to Arc GIS mapping software, but it states that it

is not compatible with a Mac (and only on a Windows machine). As I use a

Mac, I would like to know if there is an alternate solution or plug-in to

use on my Mac.

Thank you!

Meredith

Hi Meredith,

I don't think there is plug in for Mac.

You can ask your question to this group ArcGIS Desktop Installation support to see if there are other solutions. You can also call Esri customer service (888) 377-4575  for help.

Thanks,

Tina

Hi Meredith,

I would like to help you so that you get full return on your investment with Esri.

Could you please tell me exactly what product you purchased, so that I can find you some help?

I'm not sure what I purchased to be honest. I use Simmons as a planning

tool and they introduced me to the mapping features offered by Esri. I

agreed to add Esri to my contract with Simmons so that I could produce maps

using Simmons data. Unfortunately, it has been over a month and I have not

been able to create the maps they showed me using my Mac computer.

Apparently, Esri only has a plug-in to use on Excel for PCs, but not Excel

for Macs. If you can do anything to help, I would certainly appreciate it!

Thank you!

Meredith

Hi Meredith,

Sounds like your intent is to produce maps using Esri in a MS Office product?

If correct then ask you question in https://community.esri.com/groups/arcgis-maps-for-office community. It will have better visibility there.

Actually, do not re-ask the question, use https://community.esri.com/docs/DOC-2258?sr=search&searchId=821e6977-64d8-4d99-86e5-1531b6a0b5de&sea...‌ to move it to the new space.

You should never have to duplicate a question.  Even if you want exposure in multiple places you can use the @ and the other space to have it show in both.

A good post and comments for tips  https://community.esri.com/community/help-and-feedback/blog/2016/08/15/community-news-and-tips-how-t...
