Hello Friends,

I am trying to sign and build an app for iOS in Esri AppStudio but I the directions in the doc (Sign your app—AppStudio for ArcGIS | ArcGIS ) don't outline the process very well. The Bundle Id auto populates. Where do I find, and what is a Provisioning Profile? All I can find on it is, "Provisioning profile—Indicates the devices where you plan to run your app", and "Download your mobile provisioning profile (for example, ios_developer.mobileprovision) from the iOS Dev Center."  Same questions when it comes to Cloud Make??? I am attempting to do this on my Dell laptop. I do have an iPad as well if that is necessary.

To create your provisioning profile go to https://developer.apple.com/account/ios/profile/ and sign in. A provisioning profile is something you will need to update each year and can be done on any operating system machine, on the apple developer website. The next step of creating a certificate does need to be done on a Mac, but once you have the certificate, you can copy the file to another machine and subsequently run cloud make with that certificate on a Windows machine.

Hi Marika,

I was not able to watch the video because it is private. Could you make it available for all?

Thanks

Hi - Thanks for reminding me about this link. We retired that video recently as it was a little old - here is a newer one Building and Distributing Apps: AppStudio 2020 Spring Workshop Day 2 Part 3 - YouTube .
