hi, I have developed an editing application which enable users to add points to an editable points layer and the attribute data associated with those points.   I am using the Editor Widget.  We intend to send the site link to a select group of users, and we'd like to be able to track exactly which users made which edits.  I've been asked if it might be possible to have users prompted to type a name and/or affiliation when the application initially loads and then, when a point is added, automatically attach this information to a field or fields in the attribute table.  The fallback would be to create another attribute field and have the user choose or type some information into that along with the other fields, but we want to make this as easy to use as possible.

I was just wondering if anyone had any idea about how to go about this or if it's even possible.  I'm a relative newcomer to this and I really have no idea where to begin with this... Thanks!

Dan

This should be exaclty what you need.

To set up the secure services on your server, add the roles and users first here.

Then set permissions.
