Hi,

I am trying to print map and i managed  to do it for a4-a5 paper sizes. And additionally, i am using arcgis mapprinting control
(http://broux.dominique.free.fr/Silverlight/MapPrinting/MapPrinting.html).

The problem is i need to print map to a3-a2 paper sizes. But when i try that to a3, it looks like empty.A4-A5 are working great.

Do you have any suggestion or any other advanced control to use to print map?

as far as i understand you say it is bug only for xps driver right?

Sorry I can't say that.
It's a bug at least with xps driver and it's working with others drivers that I tested.

I never noticed a problem with A3 printer.

I know there was a problem with dynamic layers from A2 size (BTW probably almost solved with latest API version) but A3 shoud work.

After selecting the A3 printer, do you see a correct result in the print dialog window?

Note : after more thoughts, it might be an issue with the definition of your printer, try by reducing it to 300 or 600dpi.
When printing, Silverlight creates a bitmap with a size depending on the printer resolution and the printer size  and refuses to create it (without any error message!) when that's too big.

Thanks for your answer.

Yes, i can see correct results while it is being writen. But when i open the result file it is empty. Additionally, i am not directly using a printer, i a using XPS
writer for my tests. But as i said, there is no result in A3. And i do not think it is big size(A3), because i also tried A2. When i try that it said to me "Page siz too large",
but not for A3 paper size.

I reproduced the issue. Nothing is printed in A3 with XPS driver.
Sorry no clue about the reason.  I tested in debug, no messages that might help are returned.

However this is working with others drivers (e.g. PDF driver), so seems a driver issue.

You right. I was wrong when saying 'without any error message', it looks like from SL5 an error that we can catch is returned. Great:)

as far as i understand you say it is bug only for xps driver right? or i am understanding wrong?

And additionaly, does it mean that when i try it with a real printer(a3 paper), it will work correctly, right?

Thank you so so much dbroux.

Yes you are absolutely right. it is about xps driver.
I installed pdf driver and test again. I see some progress right now.
I was thinking that my code is wrong, but it is not.

Thanks so much again.
