Go to XY control

Hello,

I'm trying to develop a control like the one in ArcGIS Desktop that accept XY values and then zoom to the point. XY values might be inserted in different formats, what I could not find is how to convert geographic values to projected in silverlight api. Can anybody help me with that ?

The most generic way to project coordinates is using a geometry service. There is a sample here : http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/silverlight/samples/start.htm#Project

For the frequent case of WebMercator coordinates, you can directly use the class  ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Projection.WebMercator
