web editing against oracle spatial layer

Is it possible to use web editing on a table with sdo_geomertry shape column?

Thoughts are:
1. register oracle table use sdelayer -o register command
2. add oracle table as a layer to arcmap
3. publish mdx as feature service
4. edit the table using flex viewer

Can someone confirm if the thoughts are valid, before I can try it out?

Hi Steve

We are about to experiment with this too. Have you had any luck?

Initially I seem to be able to edit attributes in flex on an existing feature created on the published feature service in Desktop.

I.E. Edit features created in Desktop AFTER feature service was published.

I can't seem to actually create a feature in flex with the default editor however. Like I said, early days though.

Let me know if you've had any luck with this
