I am trying to install the Flex API on a Amazon EC2 server.  When I try to set up my base folder it is giving me a Invalid Settings - Please check your web server base folder URL! error.

What do you mean by install the Flex API on an Amazon EC2 Server?  Are you using the Sample Viewer or do you have a custom app that includes the swc?  Is your ArcGIS server on the same instance?

This question would be better on the Flex Viewer forum.

The "Web Server Base Folder" is where the Builder will write the Viewer files to disk. This can be on your local machine or on a mapped drive as long as you have write access.

The "Web Server Base Folder URL" is whatever url can be used to access the Viewer files from above via http. This is used in the Builder's Preview tab.
