State Changes in Info Window

Hi all,

I'm getting some odd behaviour from my info window in both my custom application aswell as the SFV 2.0. I've added images to my Info Window which behave like buttons and trigger a state change. This works fine, however, when I get to the new state, some events like moving the mouse outside the info window borders, or selecting an item in a dropdownlist will set the state back to the default state.
Obviously I want to stay in the 'new' state untill I click a button again. Does anyone recognize this behaviour or have any clue as to why this might be happening?

Some more info: the info window is rendered on a feature layer, and I'm using a custom spark itemrenderer to display the content for the infowindow (for both the SFV 2 app aswell as the custom application).
