Showing data in Info Window SFV 2.0

Hi everybody,

I am using the Sample Flexviewer 2.0 and am struggling a bit with the functionality for showing data when a user has clicked on a map item. The flow of actions in the application i'm trying to create should be something like this:

1. A user hovers over a line segment and the line highlights
2. When the user clicks, data is retrieved from an external service (Via HTTPservice or WebService)
3. The data is shown in an infowindow in either a datagrid/chart or both.

I am kind of clueless where to start my search, so any pointers would be greatly appreciated! The SFV is so complex I get lost looking where to put functions etc...

The problem is also that the InfoWindowPopup widget does not seem to be working too good for me. The zoom here button shows up on top of the scalebar for example, how can I remove this button?
