Map Service Labels not Visible

Not sure why this is - I have a map service that has features labeled.  The labels appear fine in the map document.  When viewing the map service in one of the out-of-the-box ArcGIS Server applications, the labels show there fine as well.  When viewed in a Flex Viewer being developed from the samples, the labels do not show up for the map service.  Any ideas why?  TIA!

Ok, for whatever reason, after leaving the thing (rebooting and coming back this morning) the labels are now visible in the Flex Viewer.  If anyone has an idea on why THAT might be, feel free to chime in, but for now it was solved by the apparent mysteries of Windows.
