I'd like to see a comprehensive and configurable mail notification widget with the abilities to choose among multiple selection methods as well as multiple output formats.
The sources of address data could be any of a number of layers or services in the map application but the user would choose based on categories that make sense to them, for instance, site addresses or owner addresses. Since address data and requirements may differ, composing fields into labels would need to be configurable. For municipalities which don't bother to keep a State name field in their address data, label configuration should have the ability to generally add fixed components in addition to data coming from the attribute table.
Selection of addresses by the user would be available by a number of methods including configurable attribute queries, graphical selection of parcels (with selection modifications for adding to or subtracting from a selection and allowing for non-contiguous areas), or selection by location based upon other layers so that, for instance, all addresses in a neighborhood or similar zone could be selected (and then manually modified with graphical selection tools).
Finally, the addresses could be exported in tabular format (CSV, txt) or be formatted into various standard label page layouts and exported as PDF.
I think this is something ESRI should consider providing so that it stays current with new releases of viewers and APIs.
