The first non-beta, non-sample release of the Flex Viewer is now available - ArcGIS Viewer for Flex 2.1 !

The blog post - http://blogs.esri.com/Dev/blogs/arcgisserver/archive/2010/09/22/ArcGIS-Viewer-for-Flex-version-2.1-r...

Read the What's New (there's quite a lot) :
http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapps/flexviewer/help/index.html#whats_new.htm

The Flex team worked hard the last months to make this a solid, stable product, and we hope you will enjoy working on it.

As always, please give us your feedback!

So that answers the question if there is going to be  identify and hyperlink tools added to the 2.1 version.

I am very disappointed. Even though the SDK and the viewer are distributed for free, we pay a lot of money for ArcGIS Server and we deserve a lot better than this. We are currently stuck in version 1.3 now because of this. That is a shame I really liked the Flex framework for ArcGIS. My boss and I had to push purchasing to let us buy the Flex Builder software.

Even worse, ESRI Tech Support does not support version 1.5 API anymore. Thankfully one of their techs assisted us over the phone  in getting up an running with the SMV 1.3 reagardless of this policy. I will not post his name for fear that his supervisor might reprimand him.

ESRI, I know you can do better than this.

Yes please create a separate posting list for 2.1.  This will make things a lot easier for Robert Scheitlen when gives us all assistance.

I've just downloaded and unzipped the compiled version but when I try to access to http://localhost/flexviewer/index.html, I get the following error:
HTTP 401.3 - Access denied by ACL on resource
Servicios de Internet Information Server

I'm using an administrative account and IIS5.1 in WinXP. Besides, the compiled version of 2.0 beta works perfectly. Any help?
