There used to be coding examples in the old 1.x version of the Flex API code gallery, but those are all not defunct and I guess eaten up by arcgis.com since I cannot find out how to get to them.
I am looking for the methodology for cloning the map object for use in things like magnifier widget, print preview widget. Just didn't want to rewrite the wheel if it has already been done.
