I am using the Flex API to create web maps on a Windows XP machine using the Flex Sample Viewer.
Installed Apache web server, which is working.
Changed the DocumentRoot to the "bin-debug" directory for my Flex project.
I can go to localhost or my computer name and both pull up the Sample Flex Viewer interface, but none of the map services render in the map window.
What am I missing?

I do not have IIS.

Thanks.

Can you try a tool like HttpFox to see what requests are being sent from Firefox and if any of them are failing? It may be that you don't have a crossdomain.xml file on your ArcGIS server.

Hi,

I usually use IIS for may flex viewer applications. Now, I need to do the same but using Apache but I'm not really familiar with Apache settings. I need help in how to properly configure this. I have a previously configured flexviewer in IIS. Can I easily  migrate it to Apache? ArcGIS Server is on Linux. Thanks.

I'm also about to dive into Apache and tomcat using ArcGIS server.  Does anyone know of the pros and cons of using IIS v. Apache?  I know if we use Apache as the web server, we cannot use ASP.Net.  Are there any other gotchas with this?
