Is there a way to add alternative text to a map in experience builder?

Hi London, 

From what I can find, this features is not currently available in ArcGIS Experience Builder. I would encourage you to add this to the Ideas page for Experience Builder

I think they've added a way to add map alt-text now:

In the Map Widget > Content > Accessibility Settings > Accessible Label

Yes @CatherineWendland this feature has been added and I was testing it a few weeks ago. The A11y button at the bottom of the configuration pane must be enabled and the setting 'Enable accessibility settings for each widget' must be selected to have this option on all widgets. For the map widget, I enabled the settings on an existing app and then published and tested the app using NVDA and JAWS. I was able to hear the map description read when focus was on the map.
